These photos have been placed here in fond memory of the Zingaro Nature

Reserve that Marian and I explored 

[from the south entrance] in March, 2011.

Zingaro Nature  Reserve near Scopello, Sicily.  The nearest large town is Castallammare.  

Both are on the north coast East of Trapani.

 Sadly, it appears that the entire reserve burned in the first week of August, 2012.  

Who knows how long it will take for this gorgeous place to regenerate.  

It shall live on as you see it in my memories.
